Strolll’s clinician web portal provides you with a simple, fast and easy way to manage patients, create and prescribe individually personalised rehabilitation programs and monitor your patients adherence, performance and progression through your clinical dashboard and automated clinician notes.
Reality DTx® supports multiple users, allowing therapists to connect a second headset to their patient and see and interact with the augmented reality holograms in real-time, together.
The software even allows multiple headsets in a single session, meaning you can have multiple patients connected in one therapy session as a group.
Reality DTx®’s hands-free design empowers clinicians to provide hands-on patient facilitation when needed.
Achieve a seamless balance between innovative technology and personalized, hands-on care for optimal patient outcomes.
Reality DTx® uses augmented reality glasses that have see-through, transparent lenses.
This key feature enables therapists to utilize the full clinic space available and engage patients in over-ground walking unlike VR, Kinect cameras or Treadmill systems that use static screens, stationery equipment or closed VR headsets which the patient can’t see out of.
Reality DTx® isn’t location bound. Break free from geographical constraints.
Reality DTx®, enables therapists to provide exceptional care to patients beyond the clinic’s walls, reaching individuals wherever they are with the convenience and flexibility of a completely lightweight, portable, all-in-one solution.
Prescribed by therapists. Patients can take Reality DTx® home for daily rehabilitation (10 min – 60 min)
Adapt to diverse patient needs with Reality DTx®’s flexibility.
Whether synchronous or asynchronous, our technology seamlessly integrates into your workflow, enhancing patient care on your terms.
Reality DTx® increases adherence through personalised, gamified rehabilitation exercises designed with and for patients and clinicians.
In a recent clinical feasibility study by Vrije University Amsterdam, Reality DTx® was shown to achieve 104% adherence to high intensity (5 sessions per week, for 6 weeks) in a study with 24 Patients with Parkinson’s disease aged 51-82.
View Scientific PaperRevolutionise patient care without compromising space. Strolll’s Reality DTx® software utilises AR glasses that are small, portable and high performance.
The software adapts to any room layout, ensuring convenience without sacrificing performance.
We support clinics of all different sizes, from smaller clinics starting out with two devices, or larger organisations who have 100+ devices across multiple clinical sites, and who are prescribing devices to patients for home use to scale services and improve patient outcomes.
For larger deployments, Strolll is an accredited re-seller of Uvisan cabinets. With no chemicals, heat or liquid required Uvisan cabinets kill 99.99% of bacteria and viruses. Protect your customers, staff and stakeholders the safe way with UV-C light from Uvisan.
No. As this is regulated as a medical device Reality DTx® must be prescribed to an individual patient by a qualified and registered therapist or other applicable healthcare professional. However, we do list our clinic partners on our website in a directory for patients to see where the nearest clinic is to offer a prescribed program to them.
With the Microsoft HoloLens 2, it can be worn over/on-top of your prescription lenses/glasses.
The Magic Leap has double the vertical field of view of the Microsoft HoloLens 2 but you may need to purchase a magnetic prescription lens insert for an additional cost from Rochester Optical which start from £120.
https://frameofchoice.com/collections/rx-for-smart-glasses/products/ml2-prescription-insert
There is a lens kit available for clinics who are using the device with multiple patients in a clinic environment which is £943 https://frameofchoice.com/products/ml2-prescription-insert?variant=39777467301963
Please note that in our recent clinical feasibility study, of the participants using Magic Leap 2 AR glasses, all but one participant randomized to ML2 did not require insert prescription lenses to train with RealityDTx®, even though all ML2 participants used prescription (reading) glasses or lenses in daily life.
For pragmatic reasons, this participant with a prescription of +2.25 was moved to the HL2 group so that his own spectacles could be worn during the intervention (i.e., to prevent delays and costs associated with ordering special lenses not part of the standard lens kit).
It is both. Reality DTx® is a platform solution that includes both the cueing module for gait training/modifying gait, and exercise activities and games for improving gait, balance, walking adaptability and other aspects of motor function like sit-to-stand and functional reaching.
Cues can be used in applicable games, like Smash!, a boxing exercise task to improve walking, turning, dynamic balance, rigidity and aerobic fitness.

Subject to the patient meeting the inclusion criteria, there are games and exercises that can be done from a seated position (e.g. Hot Buttons)
Yes, you can. That’s one of the many benefits of augmented reality! You can still utilize real world objects with AR because the glasses have see-through, transparent lenses.
For the best experience, the device should be connected to the internet. Rest assured though, every device comes with its own router and 4G/5G sim card and data plan so you’ll be able to just plug and play, and it’s all included in the monthly subscription.
Yes, this is included in the price of your subscription and scheduled as part of your onboarding. You will be assigned a dedicated clinical success manager who will provide on-site initial training and be your go-to contact for ongoing support for integration of Reality DTx® into your clinic.
For the best infection control we recommend (and can provide at an additional cost, UVisan UV cabinet (https://www.uvisan.com/uv-cabinets) which uses UV light and kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses.
For info, check out their website or this informative video: https://www.uvisan.com/uv-cabinets
For manual cleaning and infection control procedures this is detailed in the instructions for use provided with the device.
Reality DTx® is Augmented Reality (AR) not Virtual Reality (VR). This translates to safe, immersive rehab, in the real world.
With AR the user can still see the real world (see-through/transparent lenses, rather than being blindfolded with video like VR), this eliminates some of the common issues with VR such as motion sickness and fall risk which was evidenced in a recent clinical feasibility trial with Vrije University Amsterdam.
Reality DTx®’s AR holographic content adapts to any room layout (clinic or home), which combined with see-through lenses enables full-room engagement and over-ground walking beyond static screens or equipment. Because the real world remains visible, AR rehab doesn’t have the same barriers of motion sickness and disorientation that is often experienced with VR.
Patients can also see their own limbs ensuring high coupling between movements which is often reduced with avatar overlay, common in VR or screen based systems.
We don't offer a free trial.
Reality DTx® is already in use by top UK healthcare providers and US hospitals. We partner with collaborative partners who are prepared to invest in their business and work alongside Strolll as a partner with the shared goal of improving patient outcomes.
Once you join the Strolll clinical partner network, we have a number of support initiatives including co-designing new features, marketing case studies, launch days, patient referral initiatives and assisting in securing research grants for larger scale projects.
The battery is dependent on the type of usage, but most AR glasses should last between 2-3 hours on a single charge. If you want to use it for longer, you can connect a power bank via the USB-C port to charge the battery while it’s in use or alternatively, you can purchase additional devices to ensure you’re never without Reality DTx®, and this is commonly done in larger hospitals and clinics with more than 250 applicable/eligible patients.
The minimum area needed to use Reality DTx® is 4m2 / 43sqft. (This area doesn’t have to be exactly square)
Technically yes. However, because Reality DTx® is a medical device we need to be able to closely control operating system and app updates for safety, therefore we need to supply the devices through our MDM system. Contact our sales to discuss further.
Reality DTx® uses state-of-the-art augmented reality (AR) glasses from Microsoft and Magic Leap which have the widest array of sensors (IMUs) and cameras which can track user movement, eye movement and environment data which is translated into clinically meaningful data by Strolll’s software (e.g., meters walked, squats completed, reach movements completed and the number of active minutes (time exercising) which gives adherence data. Additional data can be added for specific parameters like step length, walking speed, cadence, turn time, reach distance, reaction time and much more.
The software also records game performance (how well the user completed the prescribed exercise). This data is sent automatically between the Augmented Reality headset and the online Clinican Web Portal where the healthcare professional can review it remotely, and then use the dashboard via their laptop/computer to amend and personalize the patient's prescription to ensure it is progressive and maintains a challenging-but-doable level to continuously improve clinical outcomes.
Reality DTx® is priced to reflect its leading position as a cutting-edge, all-in-one digital therapeutic solution, which eliminates the need for additional equipment (no TV screen, cables, or dedicated clinic space). When compared to other large treadmill-based cueing systems, or gamified rehabilitation systems it’s highly competitive, given the extensive benefits of Reality DTx®.
The hardware itself is also a significant portion of the investment with devices costing around £3,500 each.
Investing in Reality DTx® positions clinics at the forefront of innovative rehab technology, offering potential business growth, unique marketing opportunities and improved patient care. Options for clinic devices and patient home rental devices are available.
